NECP Athletic Event Tailgating & Stadium Policy

Purpose and Scope

North East Carolina Preparatory School (NECP) is committed to providing a safe, family-friendly environment for our PreK–12 community. This policy outlines the rules governing stadium entry, campus parking lots, and designated tailgating areas during all Huskies athletic events. Compliance is mandatory for all students, parents, booster club members, and visitors.

Tailgating Rules and Space Allocations

• Designated spaces only: tailgating is limited to allotted tailgating spaces, and prohibited in general parking stalls, fire lanes, walkways, and traffic loops.
• Vehicle limits: gear, chairs, and equipment must fit entirely within your assigned space.
• Grills: propane or charcoal grills are permitted in designated tailgating spaces only and banned elsewhere on campus. Open-flame fire pits are prohibited.
• Trash and cleanup: bag all trash and place it in campus receptacles before entering the stadium.

Prohibited Substances and Campus Safety

• Zero-tolerance alcohol ban: NECP is a drug-free zone. Possession, consumption, or sale of alcohol is prohibited everywhere on campus, including tailgating spaces.
• Tobacco and vaping: tobacco products, e-cigarettes, and vaping devices are forbidden on all school grounds.
• Conduct: unruly behavior, disruptive amplified music, or non-compliance with school staff results in immediate removal from campus.

Stadium Entry and Admissions

• Clear bag policy: only clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags are allowed. Small clutch purses are permitted but may be searched.
• Outside food and beverages: no outside food, drinks, or commercial deliveries inside the stadium gates. Concessions are available for purchase.
